Deliberate by Design.
At CVC, everything we do is built on a foundation of discipline, resilience, passion, and competitive excellence. We do not settle for average.
Our vision is simple but ambitious – to be Queensland’s leading force in volleyball – one recognised for its standards, culture, and results. We deliver this through world-class coaching, Olympic-level equipment, structured programs, and an uncompromising commitment to player growth.
But make no mistake, this path is not for everyone. It is demanding, uncompromising, and selective by design. It asks for consistency, ownership, and a hunger to improve every single day. For the right player – the one who thrives on feedback, embraces hard work, and lives for the pursuit of excellence – it’s a challenging, rewarding, and transformative one. It is everything they’ve been searching for.
Selections is divided into three distinct phases, each testing different aspects of what it takes to perform and thrive in a high-performance environment.
We look beyond skill. We want athletes who align with our standards of discipline, accountability, and team-first leadership. This phase reveals the mindset, habits, and character behind the jersey.
Elite volleyball demands elite conditioning. We assess whether you have the physical readiness, resilience, and capacity to train and compete safely at a high standard.

Here, skill meets game reality. We test technical ability, teamwork, decision-making, and composure under pressure – all essential to compete in CVC colours.

Together, these phases provide a fair, demanding, and transparent pathway for athletes to prove they have what it takes to represent CVC.
2025 CVC Players: Playing for CVC in 2025 does not guarantee a spot in 2026.
In 2026, CVC is breaking the state standard. Our entire Premier League program will move from the typical 2.5 hours to an unprecedented 5-hour weekly training load.
This level of commitment is unmatched in Queensland volleyball. But increased volume brings increased responsibility. To pioneer our new data-informed recovery framework, we are launching a dedicated 2026 Pilot Program exclusively with our Women’s Squad.
To support this intensity, CVC is fully funding a dedicated WHOOP Pilot Program.
We will monitor Strain, Sleep, HRV, and other metrics each week to optimise performance output while actively managing fatigue and injury risk as the squad adapts to the new 5-hour load.
This pilot will set the blueprint. We aim to evaluate the impact of this data in real-time within a high-performance environment with the goal of expanding access to all CVC athletes in 2027.
Talent doesn't survive a 5-hour training week. Durability does. To ensure our athletes can handle the increased load without breaking down, we have partnered with Fitness Cartel Beenleigh and TH7 Body Labs Mount Gravatt.
These partnerships bridge the gap between intensity and longevity. By integrating Fitness Cartel’s strength and conditioning facilities with TH7 Body Labs’ advanced recovery protocols directly into our training program, we provide the professional infrastructure required to keep you game-ready and out of the physio room — because every hour on the court needs to be backed by the right work off it.

True high performance relies on precision.
At CVC, we integrate the full Hudl ecosystem into our weekly workflow to drive development through clarity and objective analysis. We leverage automated statistical breakdowns, tactical heat maps, and comprehensive shot charts to unlock insights that go far beyond standard observation.
Whether it’s utilising frame-by-frame markup to refine technical mechanics or building professional recruiting profiles to market your talent to the next level, we provide the same visual infrastructure used by collegiate and professional programs. This is about equipping our athletes with the tools to measure, manage, and maximise their output.

You must notify us via email before the session begins.
If you are injured or ill, you may be medically exempted from participating. For general unavailability, exemptions are not guaranteed. Not making a team (including as a shadow player) doesn’t mean the door is closed. We’ll guide you into our development or social streams so you can stay active and improve. Our goal is to help you progress, and give you the roadmap to earn your spot next season.
Yes. However, under Volleyball Queensland rules, you must be "financial" (have zero debt) with your previous club before we can accept your registration.
CVC will operate a mandatory 5-hour weekly training load for 2026. We do not believe the standard 2-3 hours is sufficient for elite progress.
A typical week may involve offensive systems on Tuesdays (2hrs), recovery, mobility and conditioning led by Fitness Cartel on Wednesdays (1hr), and defensive systems on Thursdays (2hrs).
Note: This includes dedicated "Out of Position" work. We allocate specific blocks every week where athletes must train outside their primary role to develop versatility, tactical awareness, and build universal Volleyball IQ, required to be a well-rounded athlete.
