EST. 2022

The Origin.

It started with a refusal to accept the standard. We didn't set out to build another volleyball club. We set out to build a high-performance engine.

THE ORIGIN

Demand More.

In 2022, we looked at the landscape of Queensland volleyball and saw a gap. There were places to play, but few places to compete with rigorous structure.

We founded CVC on a single, non-negotiable premise: To lead in delivering experiences that demand effort, fuel performance, and build character.

We are not here to participate. We are here to set the pace. To be a leader amongst leaders.

THE TARGET

Vision 2032.

To be Queensland’s leading force in volleyball. Grounded in growth, driven by results, and recognised as the state's most-loved club.

We are building a pathway that leads directly to the 2032 Brisbane Games. Every training block, every rep, and every investment is aligned with that ten-year target.

THE FOUNDATION

Legacy & Lineage.

The relentless pursuit of excellence wasn't invented in 2022; it was forged.

Founder Ahmed Ibrahim, built CVC on a framework of discipline, grit and precision — traits forged as an Infantry Soldier in the Australian Army Reserves, sharpened in the corporate legal sector, and grounded in over a decade of experience on the court. This club exists to give back to the next generation, built on the belief that intensity and care can coexist.

The spark began earlier, at Shailer Park State High School. Mentors Kacie Leathwaite and Angela King instilled the non-negotiable belief that character is built in the dark, discipline is a key ingredient for anything worthwhile, and you never settle for average.

That lineage now drives our definition of success. We don't chase medals; we chase mastery. Because for us, winning isn’t the point — becoming the kind of team that wins is.

High standards. High expectations. No shortcuts. Every time.
